After being touched by the Lord in 2005 on a mission trip to the Amazon Basin of Brazil, I, Amanda, set out to fufill the calling God had placed on my heart to be a full time missionary. So, in 2007 I moved to Santarem and began doing exactly that. During the end of my second year in Brazil Josue & I met and fell in love. Josue was a teacher with an Enviromental Administration degree but at the same time feeling called to full time missions. After two years of seeking the Lord's will together we got married here in Brazil in 2010. Shortly after we set off for missions training and serving at a Brazilian YWAM Base.  In 2012 the Lord gave us the first fruit of our marriage, our son, Japheth Calebe. Since then Josue has done further studying through YWAM to become more equipped

in teaching God's word. In 2013, shortly after Josue completed his schooling, we moved back to Santarem. During this time we were seeking the Lord and His timing for where he wanted us to be and as one door was closing before us another door was opening. After deciding to remain in Santarém we added one more to our family, Abigail. She was born in 2016 in the city of Santarém. We are so blessed to be serving the Lord here in the Amazon Basin Region of Brazil as we go and spread the seed of God's truth to a people that desperately need Him and still do not know him. Our desire, as we have already began to do, is to reach villages and communities on the river that have not been reached yet or do not have a local church body. We long to go to those places and fulfill the command that God has given us to do which is, "Go and Make Disciples of All Nations." Sharing Jesus and watching Him change lives is our desire!
